May Favourites - Not Another Favourites Post.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, this past month has been absolutely mental, so I do not have many new things that I have been loving this month. Which means that I have decided this month's favourites is going to be a general blog post favourites, as I have been doing lots of that on the go this past month.

Found through Breanna Rose - my new wallpaper.

THIS photographer's work with time lapsing dancers in motion blows my mind.

From Roses wrote a brilliant posts on some honest thoughts on blogging, which really makes you think.

Tools to being more productive, through apps.

Soymilkblog's summer uniform.

THIS cracked me up quite a bit. Funny things students say.

Getting into the traveling spirit by reading about other's experiences and favourite destinations.

THIS want list matches mine very closely.

Have you ever wondered how to make cookies and cream popsicles? Well, here's how.

Things to think about as a new blogger.

That's all this time! See you all tomorrow!

What I'm Loving - General

Here are a few things that I have really been enjoying this past week, including blog posts, youtube channels, interesting reads and much more.

Firstly, the things pictured above, Dodger by Terry Pratchett and CHERRIES.

THIS seriously made me laugh so hard that it woke up my neighbours. Well maybe not that hard, but it did definitely make me giggle out loud.

New blog find. Beautiful images, solid content as well as a good blog design.

THIS youtube channel cracks me up so much. Whenever I'm in need of a little boost of happiness, this is most likely the channel that I will turn to for a few laughs.

Mint done right in interior design? I am a big fan of the mint coloured kitchen in this post, one day it shall be mine.

Short post today but be sure to check those links out :) Let me know what you've been loving lately.

Dealing with Lack of Inspiration

I stole this idea of giving a "Piece of Advice for today" off of the 'Blog Every Day in May' challenge set by Story of My Life. Though I haven't participated in each day, I figured I would do a few of them as I do blog every day anyway ;)

My piece of advice is to do with lack of inspiration. I feel this is something that all of us will have dealt with or will eventually deal with in our lives. Every blogger will hit writers block at one point or another. Every photographer will run out of fresh creative ideas eventually. Now, be sure that this lack of inspiration will not last forever. I've been through this a few times, and I can tell you, you always come through the other end more motivated than ever. Life will always catch up with you, events will keep on taking place that may discourage you but as soon as you pass all of them, you will be much better for it, and much more grateful when life doesn't kick you in the arse constantly.

So my advice would be to just keep pushing yourself. Even if you don't feel motivated, just push through, find a new environment to work in (discover new places to shoot, new cafes to sit and write in, etc...) and try and do what you know best. The rush will come back.

Just putting a few of my thoughts out there in rant form ;)

Journal Day #11 - Constructive Criticism

This weeks prompt, courtesy of Sometimes Sweet:

'Sometimes it can be hard to hear criticism from others. I know for me it's something I may always struggle with - being a people pleaser, etc. At the same time though, constructive criticism can be very helpful, and allow us to look at ourselves in a new light and maybe even grow and change. Take a step out of yourself. If you were on the outside looking in, how would you critique yourself? What things do you see that you could change or work on? This isn't about tearing ourselves down; it's about really looking at ourselves and seeing where there's room for growth.'

Warning: This is quite a lengthy post.
